Description Eurostar's Commercial Finance Business Partner will sit within the financial planning team. You will act as a finance business partner supporting stakeholders to drive overall financial performance across operational business areas. Requirements We are looking for someone who Proactively challenges performance and drives change to ensure key operational and financial targets are achieved or beaten - adds value, highlights risks and support development of mitigation plans by providing appropriate analysis and insight. Builds and maintains effective working relationships across teams, acts as the financial 'go to person' for business stakeholders. Will be the primary contact for business stakeholders and improves financial understanding and compliance with finance processes. Provides forward looking financial information to key stakeholders and the CFO, leading regular business review meetings to deliver insight and identify risks and opportunities. Leads budgeting, forecasting and the planning cycle for your business area. Works with management to formulate strategic and long-term business plans, leading the completion of a 20 year plan for the business area. Works with project sponsors to ensure a simple and consistent approach to business case preparation to comply with the board approved investment appraisal methodology. This will include conducting post implementation and financial benefit reviews for key projects. Supports and drives ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required. You'll need A strong academic background. To be a qualified accountant with significant PQE. Previous finance business partnering experience. To be independent and pro-active in nature with passion to learn and grow. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships quickly with stakeholders. The ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines. Robust analytical skills with an ability to identify opportunities and make recommendations - gaining commitment at all levels of the organisation. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & modelling skills. Experience with reporting and forecasting software.
