Workday Experience Needed Senior Payroll Specialist As a Payroll Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of payroll and all related tax filings and reporting, establishing checks and balances to ensure payroll compliance, accuracy, and timeliness. Your role is to monitor and oversee multi-state payroll activities for 600 employees in the U.S. and 20 employee payrolls in both the UK and Spain, utilizing Workday and ADP Streamline. Although this role is not managing a team, it is managing a complex Payroll function. You will be able to demonstrate your thorough knowledge of U.S. wage and hours regulations including the ability to make decisions on intricate questions and issues. This position requires five or more years of Payroll experience. The successful candidate is an effective communicator who has demonstrated flexibility, detailed understanding of payroll regulations and strong problem-solving skills. Experience is critical in resolving complex problems that arise in everyday work, developing and implementing policies and procedures, working to tight deadlines and enforcing performance standards. Workday and ADP Streamline systems experiences are a plus. Bachelors degree preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and process semi-monthly payrolls in the US and monthly for overseas payrolls Liaise with payroll service providers to ensure payroll is process accurately and timely Address employee questions and concerns in an efficient manner Liaise with Human Resources to verify and confirm employee pay calculations Review, validate, and authorize correspondence with tax and government agencies and work to resolve with our payroll service providers as needed Support finance/accounting needs, including preparation of payroll journal entries, reconciliation of payroll GL accounts and point of contact for finance-related questions Documenting all aspects of payroll process and ensuring proper controls are in place Perform monthly reconciliations of payroll-related liabilities, such as benefits and PTO Other duties as required
