Macildowie are looking for an Accounts Assistant who is Immediately Available Due to continued growth my client are recruiting for a Accounts Assistant to join our team based in Northampton. The Role You will be working alongside the finance team of 8, assisting in all aspects of transaction accounts. You will be working on the sales and purchase ledger as well as chasing outstanding payments. Your key responsibilities will include : Ensuring invoices are processed accurately Matching invoices to purchase orders Reconciliations Making enquiries where there are discrepancies and following up to ensure those queries are resolved Ensuring VAT is accurately entered Performing reconciliations of supplier statements to balances on the computer system Ensuring payments are made to suppliers within their specified payment terms Payment runs Credit control The Person: Ability to work proactively Excellent numerical skills, with a high level of accuracy Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft, including Excel and Outlook Macildowie is a specialist recruitment consultancy with a rich history of enhancing the careers of professionals across the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.
