Elevation Accountancy and Finance are currently engaged with a successful and well-established company in Wakefield. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis due to ongoing growth. As the Assistant Accountant, your main role will be to work closely with the Management Accountant and to assist with the General Ledger. Your key duties will include but, are not limited to: Sales ledger and credit control Analysis of weekly and monthly reports Cashbook and bank reconciliation Prepare monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Maintain Fixed Asset register KPI reporting Maintain costings and overhead spends Assist with year end and audit information Payroll back up Prepare VAT return Ad-hoc duties to support the team The ideal candidate will have the folloiwng skills and experience: Completed or be studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA Experience working as an Assistant Accountant in a fast-paced environment Confident user of Microsoft Excel Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary Ability to communicate effectively with both Finance and non-finance staff In return, you will receive permanent employment with a business at an exciting time of growth, a fantastic work culture and a great opportunity for career progression.
