Financial Analyst London £40,000 - £45,000 benefits An exciting role has come up at a leading technology company who operate throughout the UK for a Financial Analyst. This role would suit candidates who are keen to assist in financial and business analysis in order to enable key strategic and operational decisions in order to help the company progress, and those who wish to progress their career by taking on responsibility in a forward-thinking environment. Job purpose The job will involve a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities including, but not limited to: Detailed business and financial analysis to assist with making key company decisions, involving those related to operational activities and business strategy Contribution towards the company's financial planning and financial modelling In-depth analysis of data across the whole company Close working with the Commercial Finance Manager including wider support on internal requests as necessary Key responsibilities Assist with development, preparation and consolidation of financial forecasts, including long term plans, business cases, annual budget and forecasts Contribute to development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives as required Prepare variance analysis (with the Commercial Finance Manager) Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance Analysis of sales revenues, margins, fixed costs, overheads and capex Collaboration with senior colleagues to accurately forecast departmental performance, and recommend actions where necessary Analyse current and past trends in KPIs Support the wider Management Team with in-depth analyses as required Identify improvement opportunities which tie in with business aims/objectives Knowledge & experience 2 to 3 years' experience in a similar role Highly numerate, strong analytical skills Strong Excel skills Strong communication skills and able to engage with all levels within an organisation Work across functions/departments Concise, accurate, attention to detail Able to work to sometimes very short deadlines Desirable experience/skills Financial forecast modelling Financial Analysis and Reporting Revenue & margin analysis Budget variance analysis Process review & improvement Salesforce Sales planning and target setting Telecoms/IT experience AGY - Vitae Financial Recruitment We Exist To Be Different - Membership NOT Registration
