We are currently recruiting a Finance Assistant for one of the largest Utility companies in the West Midlands. Finance Assistant - Role Objective: This job is responsible for ensuring payments and receipts are properly accounted for by journaling transactions to their destination General Ledger account. Finance Assistant - Accountabilities: Undertake daily banking activity ensuring successful upload and reconciliation of multiple bank statements to SAP system. Data entry of failed banking transactions e.g. stale cheques. Investigate and resolve customer queries. Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis. Investigation of 'old' reconciling items and resolving in a timely basis. Designing and implementing procedural changes to make processes as efficient as possible. Finance Assistant - Experience: The ability to work to a high level of accuracy with large volumes of data. Good communication skills, written, oral and presentational skills. A collaborative style, to build effective working relationships within Finance and across the Business. Sap or Quantum experience is desirable. Qualifications: GCSE's or equivalent in English and Maths. Finance Assistant - Additional information: Duration: The role to start as soon as possible until 23rd December 2019 Hourly rate: £10.31
