Financial Director - Up to £85,000 per annum DOE Annual Bonus Car Allowance North Wales - Rhyl I am working this exciting role exclusively on a retained basis with a client I have an exceptional relationship with having recruited into their senior management team previously.Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for the strategic financial management to ensure the efficient running of the company by providing effective leadership in:
• All financial matters, including budget development, planning & reporting; managing the accounts, payroll and financial reporting of project activities. Operational matters, including managing Finance, HR & IT, overseeing activities to ensure safe and cost-effective management. To support the MD, Board and Senior Managers in planning and delivering a strong and sustainable financial future for the organisation, whilst seeking to maximise growth opportunities, profitability and reduce financial risk in the short and medium term. To Give you a feel for some of the key responsibilities in each area have a read of the below.
• Prepare draft audit accounts and be a liaison with the externally appointed auditor
• Be responsible for Accounting policy and governance
• Oversee day to day processing of accounts and manage payroll, pension scheme, employee benefits and organisational insurance
• Ensure all of the company's financial planning practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation
• Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed
• Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors
• Update and implement financial policies and procedures
• Improve financial operational systems, processes and policies HR
• Responsible for the delivery of an efficient and effective HR department.
• Contribute to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and talent acquisition.
• Create and manage the HR department's annual budget. IT
• Responsible for the delivery of our IT strategy, enabling the efficient implementation and delivery of business objectives.
• Ensure effective development and delivery of IT services and the provision of the highest level of customer service at all times.
• Own the IT strategy development, organisation and governance design, and full IT transformation.
• Manage the IT budget. As you can see this is a role that if multi-faceted and would suite someone with similar previous experience who has a proved ability to deliver at board level, some key qualities include:
• Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity, pushing and exceeding goals
• Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
• Ability to flex between micro and macro level thinking and work with all levels of management
• Exceptional commercial acumen and business knowledge
• Liaising with external and internal auditors
• Experience of preparing statutory accounts
• Extensive senior level accountancy experience
• IT literate with a broad understanding of the overall system requirements Benefits:
