Our client, a leader in its field, seek an exceptional candidate to join their team in a pivotal role You will be a confident client focused individual who can deliver accounts on time and to a high degree of accuracy A background in practice or similar multi accounting environment is essential, full and generous study package available as well Primarily include preparation and finalisation of service charge accounts assisted by the Accounts Support team. The role is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer service, whilst financial decisions and processing of Accounts and related matters are sound, utilising robust procedures which are compliant with relevant industry (and/or other) legislation and best practice. Specific responsibilities are detailed below, although the role will involve ad hoc tasks from time to time: Key Responsibilities o The Services to be provided for the Portfolio of clients include (although may vary from time to time): S/charge Accounts - (including RMC/RTM/Freehold "statutory accounts" (trading or otherwise), and related HMRC documentation and filing) preparation, coordination, and finalisation of Accounts, including: Liaison and coordination with Internal team members Liaison and coordination with External parties (including auditors, directors) Query resolution - liaison with internal/external parties to resolve Accounts related queries Lost sites - preparation, finalisation and coordination of lost sites in accordance with agreed process Integration (new client data) - ensure financial data is accurately and efficiently reflected within our system records in a timely basis o Managing workflow and delivery; ensuring adherence with business (internal & external) Service Level Agreements o Ensuring all systems and procedures utilised follow agreed procedure, are fit for purpose, efficient, effective, and documented o Maintaining a culture of the highest professional standards and conduct o Ensuring data/processing integrity at all times o Ensuring performance and delivery is compliant with all relevant industry (and/or other) legislation and best practice o Responsibility to communicate in a timely, effective and professional manner o Ensuring appropriate review and controls are in place to monitor and meet delivery standards at all times o Internal: ensuring the integrity and timely delivery of reporting o External: ensuring the integrity and timely delivery of reporting, which is relevant to inform and meet the needs of users Person Specification Essential Skills Must have at least 5 years experience within an accountancy/financial environment, ideally including experience gained within a professional accounting practice Sound book-keeping knowledge with a good understanding of accounting principles Naturally inquisitive with an ability to interrogate and develop internal systems and processes with continuous improvement techniques Client focussed, organised, self-motivated, with ability to use own initiative and work to tight deadlines Attention to detail, whilst ability to keep perspective and make informed decisions An excellent communicator (oral and written) Highly computer literate, including intermediate Microsoft Office skills Qualifications & Education Possess (or part-qualified) a professional Accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or equivalent), or QBE. Ideally educated to A-level standard (or equivalent), with minimum GCSE grades A-C in English & Maths. An excellent work environment, generous study package, and great benefits
