Headquartered in the heart of Edinburgh, we have a further office in Inverness and satellite offices in London and Glasgow. As our Inverness office grows, we are looking for a Manager to join our tax team. Supporting our growing client portfolio in the Highland region, this opportunity will allow you to manage and develop a team of staff working to provide a high-quality service for our clients. We believe in providing our clients with a high quality, cost effective and reliable personal service. The role will provide you with a high degree of autonomy and represents the opportunity to assist in the continuing growth and development of the Inverness office. You will be working on matters including: Oversee a portfolio of clients to deliver work according to budget and deadlines Reviewing of individual, partnership and trust tax returns Reviewing corporation tax provisions, computations and tax returns Supervising and developing junior members of staff Liaising with colleagues across the firm to provide a co-ordinated service to clients Provide technical tax advice on specialist advisory projects Preparing fees and budgets/proposals for potential new clients Working with partners, build strong client relationships and support business development activities You should be a dedicated professional with good knowledge of both personal tax and corporate tax matters as well as: CTA qualified or qualified by relevant experience Able to identify and advise on tax issues arising as part of the compliance process Have an excellent understanding of the tax legislation and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients and colleagues Experience of managing or supervising staff Business development skills and ability to build effective client relationships Excellent communication skills Problem solving skills and the ability to drive completion of projects Motivation and commitment to continuously develop Effective time management and organisation skills to deliver workload on budget Commercial awareness Interested?
