SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a business in South Derbyshire. This opportunity is a newly created position which would suit someone who is driven and an individual who would like the opportunity to step up into a more senior role in the not too distant future. This role would suit you if you are looking to take your first position into industry from practice or are working in an accounting role within industry and looking to take on more responsibility. As the Financial Accountant you will provide financial reporting and forecasting assistance to the Finance Director. Key Duties and Accountability - Monthly financial reporting to Group - Annual statutory reporting and in-year tax reporting - Assisting the FD with cash/balance sheet forecasting - Assisting the financial accountant with balance sheet reconciliations, including PAYE, VAT and Corporation Tax returns - Monthly and annual consolidation of management accounts - Completion of monthly financial reporting to Group - Preparation of weekly dashboard KPIs - Assisting the FD with the Board Reports - Assisting the FD with monthly cash forecasting and reporting - Corporation tax quarterly payments and year-end provision of tax packs - Ownership of the year-end audit process and statutory financial statements - Ad-hoc tasks/projects - Completing and submitting National Statistic forms - Assisting the Finance Director with other ad-hoc duties as required You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting experience. You must have strong Excel skills and working knowledge of SAP is desirable. You must be able to work to deadlines, be a very strong communicator, be self-motivated and be able to prioritise workload.
