Reed's Accountancy Practice specialists are currently recruiting for a reputable Belfast based firm who are looking for Bookkeeper on a permanent basis. Having experienced a sustained period of consistent growth, there is now a newly created position for a professionally minded individual with recent experience gained in an Accountancy Practice. The company ethos has always focused on providing the highest quality of service to their diverse range of clients. Specific duties include: - Maintaining bank records in line with company standards; - Take ownership of the ledgers, reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances; - Charge expenses to accounts and cost centres in relation to invoice/expense reports; - Recording financial entries; - Complete bookkeeping and VAT returns, and maintaining reconciled trial balances; - Reconciliation of bank statements; - Taking responsibility for the payroll function; and - Supporting with other ad hoc administrative duties. Essential Experience: - Minimum 2 years of experience within an Accounts Technician/Bookkeeping position; - Recent experience of working with an Accountancy Practice managing a diverse portfolio of clients; - Previous experience working with Sage or similar accounting software; and - Proficiency in using Excel.
