The Company & role Due to the centralisation of the accounting function a new role is being created for an assistant management accountant in our Newcastle based offices. Working in a small team you will play an important part in supporting the department compile and produce group management accounts for the board along with associated reporting packs. Your duties will include Reconciliation of balance sheet including multi-currency intercompany accounts Productions of accounts and monthly payroll for smaller group companies and holdings companies on a monthly basis Posting and reconciliation of banking & purchasing across the group Production of sales invoices on a variety of systems across the group. Assistance with the production of other group company accounts. Production and posting of month end journals including, accruals, prepayments and maintenance of the fixed asset register. Providing holiday/sickness cover for the admin team. What you should bring You will be positive, proactive and organised with a good attention to detail. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Able to follow clear instructions and work as part of a team, giving support to others and ensuring that individually and collectively we achieve targets and deadlines. You will have great communication skills both written and verbally and excellent Microsoft office skills - especially Excel. Ideally be at least AAT qualified or 5 years accounting experience.
