Client: Castlefield Recruitment are working exclusively with a large housing association in the North West in order to recruit an interim head of financial planning. It's an exciting time within the sector with most housing associations looking to develop new homes, and my client is no different. Utilising relationships with private sector organisations and JVs they are embarking on an impressive development project and this role is at the heart of it. Role:
• Act as the lead for finance on financial planning while supporting and business partnering the development function
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of the business and provide comprehensive strategic and operational business support to the development function
• Ensure that the necessary treasury management arrangements and financial reporting is in place
• Develop a comprehensive suite of reports that enables the financial and commercial performance of the overall development programme
• Ensure that the impact of the development programme on the overall business is understood and can be accommodated within the business plan
• Prepare and manage funding bids to outside agencies (eg Homes England)
• Review the current approach to development scheme appraisals Person:
• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AMCT)
• Have some experience of financial appraisal and financial planning for a new business venture and/or major capital project
• Advanced Excel and IT skills
• Experience within the housing sector or private property is essential
• Have the gravitas to business partner with key internal stakeholders
