Vivate Recruitment has a fantastic position available for an enthusiastic Payroll Clerk, to work at our stylish, modern office based at the prestigious Fort Dunlop building. With onsite restaurants, gym and a roof terrace to unwind it's a great location with free onsite parking and amenities. Vivate Recruitment specialises in the engineering and technology sectors within a worldwide group that operates in the automotive and aerospace markets. You will join a small team that manage a semi-skilled plan of hundreds of industrial temps and skilled contract workers. Job Description The successful Payroll Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to: weekly payroll administration and completion of payroll to strict deadlines for the company. Processing end to end payroll; resolving payroll queries via email and over the telephone and making statutory calculations such as SSP, SMP, SPP etc. and any adhoc payroll administration as required. Interaction with external agencies and resource partners, reconciling invoices, matching Ltd company contract invoices to internal systems Working alongside the payroll team to communicate new starters, rate changes etc Allocating charge rates to employees in Enterprise and generating client invoices opportunity to progress and support wider finance function The successful Payroll Clerk will: Have a strong payroll background Be experienced in processing end to end payroll; weekly, monthly and fortnightly Have experience of dealing with high volumes of employees (PAYE, Umbrella and Ltd contractors) Have strong IT skills Have excellent verbal and written communication skills Be familiar with NLW rules, regulations and administration Familiar with taxation rules, regulations and administration (particularly employee taxes) Be familiar with confidentiality and data protection guidelines (GDPR) Be familiar with pensions rules, regulations and administration Key Responsibilities include: Processing end to end payroll; weekly, monthly and fortnightly (for PAYE, Umbrella and Ltd Contractors) Processing starters and leavers Processing time sheet payments Updating personal records Keeping up to date with HMRC legislation Adhering to strict policies and processes Processing payroll reconciliations Dealing with queries from clients Dealing with HMRC Dealing with queries from candidates The successful candidate will benefit from the following: Competitive annual salary 22 days annual leave (increasing by one day per year with each year of service to a maximum of 25) 8 Bank and statutory holidays Pension 40 hours per week worked between 08:30-17:30
