Finance Business Manager MJMK is looking to hire an ambitious business and finance professional with experience in the hospitality industry to work as a Finance Business Manager. The candidate must have a keen eye for financial and business analysis as well as a wealth of experience in the above. The candidate will work closely with MJMK's external Finance Director and bookkeeping team, and report directly into the MD's and Operations Director. Key Responsibilities of Finance Business Manager Analyse the structure of a business, how it uses technology and what its goals are Understand the financials of the business inside-out Identify problems within a business, including through using data modelling techniques Manage costs and create supplier matrices, showing all costs borne by the business, as well as propose reasonable cost efficiencies on a regular basis Build financial models as required for new site opportunities Formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on previous research Persuade internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of new technology or strategies Oversee the implementation of new technology and systems Create a detailed business analysis - outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business As Finance and Business Manager, you will be supporting the directors and the finance team on: Budgeting and forecasting Planning and monitoring Financial modelling Variance analysis Pricing Reporting Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders Develop new models that underpin sound business decisions Streamline and improve internal and external reporting Have a strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements Drive fresh initiatives for financial planning and business intelligence systems As Finance Business Manager, you will be supporting the other senior members of the business: Analyse, monitor and check all invoices internally and liaise with Williams Stanley & Co to approve invoices for payment, while taking into account cash flow or any other considerations Work with external accountants and FD on weekly reports, management accounts Work closely with the GM's to put together weekly reports and analysis for all sites showing overall performance, including sales mix, revenue and cost analysis and comparison, GP's etc. Spot trends and report findings to directors on a weekly basis Work closely with directors on all matters relating to the business and provide whatever reports are required Work closely with directors to manage the financial side of sponsor relationships and partnerships Work with the QS team to manage site build budgets Work with FD to put together site specific, HQ and overall business targets and budgets At a group and site level you will: Provide business analysis relating to both finance and operations Work with GM's and stock management companies to manage stock across sites and report on wastage, comps, variances, missing stock etc Manage all supplier relationships from a financial perspective and work with directors and GM's to try to find savings, where appropriate Manage POS relationship from a financial point of view and use it to provide in depth analysis and evaluation of trends in the business Negotiate and manage credit card supplier relationships Work with GMs and Head Chefs on reporting to ensure the data is 100% accurate and no mistakes are made in daily and weekly reports Put together reporting templates across the business and train the team on filling them in, while ensuring all current reports are correctly filed and delivered The ideal candidate will need to be/have: Proficient with Microsoft office suite including complex financial modelling in excel Solid understanding and experience as a business/finance analyst in the F&B industry Have experience and understanding of working with sponsors and GMs, calculating accurate GP's, stock management, wastage, comps etc Have a minimum 2:1 degree from a top university in a finance/business related subject Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role Passion for financial modelling, computer work and analysis Best in class attention to detail and ability to quickly put together numbers and analyse them into comprehensive presentations for management Experience working with senior decision makers Strong communication/interpersonal skills Proven analytical background We are an F&B group managing the below sites.
