We are working with a prestigious business in Liverpool city centre to recruit a Finance Manager to join their growing accountancy function.

Description

As Finance Manager, operating within a shared service function, you will play a key role in supporting the management accounts process and financial decision support. Your duties include:

  • Preparing departmental budgets and working closely with operational managers to deliver
  • Performing variance analysis, analysing actuals vs budgets on a monthly basis
  • Monthly re-forecasting
  • Variance analysis on costs incurred vs cost recovery model for all existing and new services
  • Monthly payroll reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Posting journal reviews and approvals
  • Main contact for all pricing / billing queries and escalations
  • Working with key projects that will impact on shared service model
  • Managing a small team, conducting 121s, with appraisals and setting objectives

Profile

Candidates should apply if they have the following:

  • Studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a management accounts / decision support finance role
  • Ideally will have worked in a professional service business
  • Experience of working in a shared service centre
  • Strong IT skills - strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Very well presented with strong communication skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Desire to drive changes and demonstrable experience of project management
  • Ideally some experience of managing a small team
