We have a great opportunity to work for an exciting forward thinking business based in Northampton as an Assistant Accountant on a fixed term contract basis for 9-12months. You will be working with a passionate ambitious Finance Manager who will help you to learn, develop and progress your career. The Role Assisting with month end close including management accounts and journals as well as balance sheet reconciliation. Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns. Updating the fixed asset registers, including calculating and posting depreciation and accruals. Correspond with suppliers and respond to queries. Looking after AP payment runs and reconciliation of AP transactions. Liaising with the external auditors and support the Finance Manager in ad hoc duties and projects. The ideal candidate AAT qualified, ACCA/ CIMA Part Qualified. Experienced on Oracle and strong on Excel. Keen and eager to progress and develop themselves in a finance environment. Enthusiastic and personable individual who is willing to learn and who can pick things up quickly.
