The Opportunity Altus Group has an immediate requirement for an experienced Rating Surveyor to join our busy office in Heathrow . We are happy to consider applicants at both Senior Surveyor and Associate Director level. The successful candidate will manage a case load of rating work and submit checks, challenges and appeals on behalf of our clients. They will be responsible for a large caseload of commercial properties and finding additional revenue opportunities through MCC's and various reliefs. At Associate Director level, the Rating Surveyor will be expected to manage a small team; providing coaching, direction and support where necessary. Key Responsibilities Pro-actively manage a large caseload of commercial clients (excluding retail and portfolio clients) to include; inspecting properties, writing up surveys, making recommendations to clients and considering the merits in raising checks or challenges against their rating assessment. Liaising and negotiating with the Valuation Office, chasing them for progress on clients cases and ensuring favourable outcomes. Actively seek opportunities to generate further savings via cross selling additional services and adding new properties to our instruction. This in turn will generate additional revenue for Altus Group. Managing processes and working with other departments to ensure we deliver the best possible outcome for our clients; working collaboratively with Junior Corporate Account Manager & Senior Corporate Account Manager(s) to identify opportunities to improve our service offering/results against KPI's. Providing updates, gathering relevant information and building relationships, identifying new business opportunities and retaining clients relationships from one rating period to the next. Keeping up to date on any client issues/escalated files, ensuring that Altus have collected all of the required documentation about clients to successfully deliver a full service and maintain accurate records. Delivering an outstanding service to clients by; building strong relationships and managing client expectations to ensure they understand processes and timescales. (Dependent on experience) Managing a small team of surveyors, ensuring that they are productive and performing against a set of given KPI's. Training, coaching and developing them. Position Requirements Either; MRICS/AssocRICS/FRICS qualified 1 year post qualification experience or 4 years rating experience. A strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications including outlook, excel and Internet applications. Successful in identifying/generating leads for new business opportunities.
