Success Recruit are currently working with a well-established forward-thinking construction company based in South Essex who are currently looking for a Trainee Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join their growing business. Our client is looking for someone with drive, the ability to learn and excel within this newly created position. It is an exciting opportunity to gain great exposure into the finance support back office function and to work closely with a direct line manager on all payroll duties. The successful Trainee Payroll / Accounts Assistant will be expected to: Ability to learn and wish to study payroll qualification & in the future AAT Provide strong analytical administration support Be a team player and learn to support with all payroll functions The successful Trainee Payroll / Accounts Assistant will be rewarded with: Supportive team environment where full training is provided for this position Training & development opportunities funded with day release for study Open plan offices and good company benefits Job Specification Purpose of the role: The purpose of the Trainee Payroll Accounts Assistant will be to support with the daily processing of financial information and administration on Sage. Full training will be provided on all the below. Collating timesheets on a weekly basis Preparation of P60's Processing weekly salary payments Sort, analyse and report financial information Respond to all employee requests via telephone and email in a timely manner Assist payroll manager with all monthly payroll duties Prepare invoices and create payroll reports Support with all leavers to the business and final pay Scan and file documentation Other adhoc finance related duties This position would suit someone who is keen to start a position within a finance department and have a keen interest in payroll initially. There is great scope to learn and understand other areas of the accounts function as the successful person develops as well. It would be an advantage for the successful applicant to have demonstrated strong grades within English and maths and can demonstrate clearly passion for a career in finance so any work experience or further education around finance. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm Starting
