A Global FMCG Organisation are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their award winning team. PERSON SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL: Experience of reconciling a high volume of transactions in an accounts receivable role Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Bank reconciliations Able to work collaboratively with other departments and explain accounting to non-Finance staff Intermediate Excel (vlookups, sumifs) Organised and able to take ownership of the accounts they look after KEY AREAS OF
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Process all Factory invoices accurately so these key supplier accounts are kept up to date.
• Ensure any unprocessed invoices are accrued for at month end and all accounts are reconciled
• Keep the mould tracker up to date and work with the management accountant to ensure all accruals are made
• Assist the rest of the AP team with monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with and then take on organising and uploading of weekly payment run
• Take ownership of Amazon as a customer on the AR and other smaller customers
• Help the AR team chase any overdue debt and assist with month end reconciliations
• Cover other colleagues within team when they are on leave
• Support the Finance Team with other ad hoc tasks/projects as necessary.
