The Management Accountant will support my client's finance function to achieve its financial objectives by managing the provision of quality financial support with respect to project accounting, business improvement, management reporting and business planning as well as providing independent challenge and appraisal of proposed business decisions.

Description
- Supporting and locally leading the transformation of the Business Support team into a delivery approach that maximises utilisation of people, processes and systems
- Leading the review, challenge and adaption of the Business Support working practises to enable a best of class service to the functions
- Delivering accurate and timely reporting information that will support business processes
- Timely delivery into the monthly financial cycle:- to include monthly Preliminary forecasts, monthly review of actual data and commentary detailing and proving the drivers behind P&L and headcount variances
- Working with the functional heads, lead the creation of a challenging environment for budget reviews, ensuring that these are carried out using standard templates to provide a robust forecast position
- Providing accurate supply data which reconciles to the business demand for IBP for their area of control
- Ensuring compliance with the Financial Controls Framework and provide leadership on FCF to other areas of the business
- Liaising with both Internal and External auditors as required and ensure that all their information requirements are met in a timely manner. Close all audit actions within agreed timescales
- Ensuring regular analysis of cost accounts to support tax packs and rates investigations
Profile
- Strong commercial acumen
- ACCA/ CIMA/ ICAS qualification
- Experience gained in a business partnering capacity
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience gained in financial accounting /management accounting
- Finance experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment
