My client, fast growing start-up company in North Cambridge looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their journey to success alongside their Head of Finance. Your role will be an integral part of the finance team and will encompass managing the customer and supplier accounts, ensuring all necessary payments are made within a timely matter, assisting with payroll across three countries and supporting the full month end process. You will be working closely with teams across the business and will gain exposure to every aspect of the finance function over time, therefore giving you the opportunity to develop your career in several different directions. Full invoicing process - authorisations, remittances, statements, applying nominal codes/taxes, and chasing outstanding debt, resolving/escalating queries. Banking and allocation of payments, reconciliation of accounts including currency. Weekly processing of BACS payment runs plus ad hoc priority and international payments Maintaining company credit cards and processing staff expenses claims Preparing analyses of accounts and producing reports as needed Communicating with suppliers and setting up new suppliers/details changes Managing and processing in-house payroll records (with assistance if required) Assisting with preparation of quarterly VAT returns and EC Sales lists Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations including prepayments and accruals and posting of associated journals General admin tasks With offices in Cambridge, Northampton and Peterborough - The ONE Group's recruitment specialists offer unparalleled recruitment expertise across seven specialist divisions; Accountancy & Finance, Executive Search, HR, IT, Marketing, Office Support and Technical.
