I am currently working with a progressive, forward thinking law firm in central London. This firm offers a fantastic opportunity to join a fantastic, high performance team in a diverse and creative environment which is quite unique to the legal sector.
Your new role
This is a really broad role with both internal and external reporting elements. Reporting into the Financial Controller, key responsibilities include:
- Statutory account preparation
- Monthly management accounts
- Cost analysis and commentary
- Business partner to partners and fee earners on pricing and budgeting
- Preparation of annual cost budgets and re-forecasts
- Ad-hoc project work
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a qualified accountant with ACA qualification preferred. You will need a strong academic background and at least 2 years experience in a legal or professional services environment. A key element of the role is the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders, so you will need to be a confident communicator, capable of building and maintaining strong working relationships.
