The following duties apply to the Civil Service Management Accountant role:

• You will produce monthly management accounts, this will include reporting and variance analysis.
• You will meet with non finance staff and key stakeholders on a regular basis to discuss information surrounding budgets and forecasts. You will be the main point of contact to provide information to external stakeholders.
• You will produce the year end accounts for audit and assurance purposes. You will ensure that accounts meet International Accounting Standards and Government Compliance.
• You will challenge and scrutinise budgets and forecasts
• You will lead on the annual budget and create spending reviews

Profile

The successful Civil Service Management Accountant should have the following experience:

• Financial Management and budgeting experience
• Civil Service experience
• Experience complying with Government Standards
• Experience complying with UK Accounting Standards
• A good level of excel
• A good attitude to work
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
