Permanent Management Accountant job, North Fife, £35,000 - £45,000 DOE, + Excellent Benefits

Hays Senior Finance is exclusively partnered with a prestigious and globally renowned client for an experienced Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance individual to provide accounting support across the business and its commercial subsidiary companies. This is an exciting time for the business which has seen impressive year on year growth driven by commercial success and the acquisition of new business ventures. With a number of exciting projects either underway or on the horizon, they are looking to expand their team.


Your new role
The role will primarily focus on business partnering with key managers supporting strong financial governance and the delivery of operational objectives across the core elements of the business. As well as ensuring effective decision making, a key focus will be on the improvement of policies and processes as well as the future development of systems across the multiple business units. You will also have involvement in the preparation of monthly reporting, the budgeting cycle and year-end accounts preparations. With numerous projects either underway or due to commence imminently (including the replacement of the finance system) this role will go beyond regular activities and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take on an active and in some instances lead role in implementing operational improvements or developing further revenue streams in parallel with providing value adding financial in-put to ongoing activities.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified or Part-qualified Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will have a proven track record within a similar role and have an in-depth understanding of the management accounting process with proven examples of successfully setting up financial controls across the business. You will have experience developing management reports and supporting the production of KPI's in conjunction with operational managers. The successful candidate would have experience of learning and adapting to new IT systems (Oracle or NetSuite would be advantageous but general knowledge of ERP systems would be sufficient) Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential with experience of lookup functions and pivot tables being key and you will be assessed on this at interview stage. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic team player with beyond excellent communication skills who enjoys streamlining business processes and continually striving for improvement.
