.Statutory Audit process Ensure timely - preparation of annual statutory accounts for respective EMEA/APAC legal entities in accordance with local GAAPDetailed audit planning to ensure that deadlines are met with no unusual items during the auditCo-ordinate the audits with local audit firms in order to complete and file the accounts by filing due datesEnsure that all queries from auditors are resolved on timely basis as well as timely delivery of all support/sample requestsWork with BU, legal, corporate, treasury, HR, payroll to obtain documents/information/Approvals etc. as required for auditsPreparation/Review of Financial Statements (FS) and disclosures as requiredPreparation/Review of annual LE returns and liaising with tax/ corporate/external advisors to facilitate the completion of tax returns by filing deadlinesWork to address queries from directors/senior stakeholders during Financial Statement review to the obtain approvalsAdvise management on the impact of new laws/regulations on local statutory reporting/tax US GAAP close Manage/Review month end activities - Co-ordinate with different teams and ensure that all accounting entries, accruals and other relevant adjustments have been recorded (US GAAP)accurately preparation/review of Balance sheet reconciliationsReview of monthly Cost Plus/Transfer Pricing activitiesDevise strategies to eliminate incorrect accounting entriesManage/review account reconciliations and explain all items actively contained within each account. Ensure that reconciliations are prepared as per global policy and any impact due to unreconciled accounts are factored in while reportingDriving monthly calls with BU/other stakeholdersReview, analyze and adjust quarterly and annual tax Packages for US GAAPPrepare/review various analysis and detailed schedules to be submitted to corporate/other stakeholders on an ongoing basisPerform special projects, adhoc reporting and financial analysis as assignedMaintains compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to local authorities/responding to surveysRespond to all adhoc queriesTimely submission of dividend solvency tests/ Secondary ledger postings/Statistical surveys Team ManagementExcellent people management skillsExperience in handling highly skilled teamMotivate team and contribute to team spiritEvaluate team performance by following up on common objectives, reoccurring errors, overtime etc.Manage training and other requirements of the teamEnsure that all people management issues are dealt with on timely manner Technical knowledge and skillsGood knowledge of US GAAP and IFRSStrong analytical skillsExperience in preparation of legal entity statutory financial statements and tax packagesExperience in month close activitiesGood conceptual background of revenue recognition, lease accounting, transfer pricing, payroll accounting etc.Oracle experience is an added advantage Behavioral skillsAbility to work with strict deadlines and proven track record to deliver on/before the deadlinesGood communication skillsStrong sense of organization and ability to prioritize the tasksDemonstrates a high level of self-motivation, energy and flexibilityMust demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and investigation/negotiation skillsThe ability to work in a global environment with strong stakeholder focus With a 50-year history rooted in the financial services industry, FIS™ is the world's largest global provider dedicated to financial technology solutions.
