Chiswick, London Salary range : Competitive Opening date : 05 October 2019 Closing date: 3 November 2019 FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: Support business initiatives to create operational excellence and generate quality earnings Position Responsibilities Manage all budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes Work alongside senior leadership to prepare, distribute and review financial results on a monthly basis Develop financial plans for major capital investment projects to determine viability and ROI Conduct financial analysis in order to determine progress against strategic plan, budget and forecast Track progress against budget, report results and support business with mediation plan(s) if necessary Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to all business directors and managers on campus Manage and oversee budgeting for all capital projects across the company Participate in quarterly strategic planning process for senior executive leadership Assess and seek out on-going financial risks and opportunities to the business Review key performance indicators (KPI's) and budget vs. actual variances on a monthly basis Provide recommendations through statistical analysis to create operational efficiencies Create new and update existing automated financial reports for the department(s) Responsible for the coordination and tracking of key deliverables during all finance events Assist in a range of ad hoc projects across multiple departments as overseen by the CFO Heavy emphasis on financial modeling for new start-up businesses and existing organization Build financial reporting infrastructure in Business Planning and Consolidation system (BPC) Create and enhance custom fit reports; automate existing manual reports in BPC Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience working in a 'for profit' boarding school institution environment International work experience - North America, APAC and/or Europe preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance Concur travel and expense management experience Minimum three years of relevant work experience in FP&A Superior knowledge of SAP and BPC software (per responsibilities above) Strong financial modeling capabilities Minimum 1-2 years' work experience in Accounting environment, GAAP knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.) Experience with SQL Server Management Suite, Microsoft Strategy and SharePoint Ability to code in VBA and macros Preferred Skills Ability to deliver accurate results while working under time sensitive conditions Self-motivated and comfortable working in fast paced and dynamic environment Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work extended and flexible hours during peak seasons Interest in sports Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 20lbs.
