Job Details

The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include driving team performance of three people, to ensure timely and accurate reporting. The finance function will lead on overheads, revenue and margin analysis, and will contribute heavily to the performance of the overall team.

Description

The Finance Manager position will be an exciting opportunity, with a varied and interesting set of responsibilities. The main responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Influencing and reporting the monthly financial results providing focus on margin analysis
  • Delivering accurate commission payments
  • Manage sales billing, as well as managing deferred income
  • Provide commentary and analysis on variance to forecasts
  • Key point of contact to external auditors
  • Manage a team of three direct reports, including supporting and mentoring the team with their career development
  • Preparation of financial reports
  • Finance Business Partnering with stakeholders throughout the company
  • Lead on process improvement of the finance team
  • Contribute to projects led by the Company Financial Controller

Profile

The Finance Manager will play an important role within the organisation, and so the successful candidate should be:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with strong history of academics
  • Able to demonstrate good analytical ability in a plc environment
  • Working knowledge of multi-currency accounts
  • Experience with accounts preparation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Process driven, with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Manage and prioritise the demands of multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, including senior stakeholder management
  • Ability to work to deadlines and handle changing priorities
  • Good team management skills, with experience being beneficial
  • Experience in a plc environment advantageous
