I am working with a growing business based in Shrewsbury who have a permanent job vacancy for a Finance Business Partner. In this job you will take ownership of monthly management accounts and commentary with a remit to build relationships to optimise and improve processes, accuracy and speed.

Your new role
In this job you will be responsible for month-end management accounts including updating project spend and payroll costs, whilst working with a finance analyst and the Shared Service Centre to support month end and year end. You will complete monthly variance analysis on non-project spend as well as CapEx. You will be the primary point of contact for auditors and support half-year and year end including disclosures, tax pack and renewals as well as support internal financial controls. You will be responsible for various Finance projects working in a continuous improvement culture to drive efficiency and add value.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a fully-qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with in-depth knowledge of accounting systems and best practices. You would ideally be trained from an Accountancy Practice background and either be seeking a first industry move or have experience from manufacturing sector. You should be an expert in Microsoft Excel and ideally have a working knowledge of Hyperion Planning or Hyperion Financial Management.
