Job Details

This is the programme for you if you’re keen to grow into a commercially astute business leader and strategic advisor. You’ll be able to apply your eye for detail, strong analytical skills, integrity and drive to experience and influence every aspect of our business.

Programme Highlights

You’ll go straight into a hands-on role in the first of three one-year placements. Whichever team you’re with, you’ll quickly become an invaluable asset, gaining exposure to the breadth and depth of challenges that only one of the world's biggest and best-known airlines can provide.

You’ll be given the go-ahead to challenge the status quo and use your ingenious ideas to add value to everything you’re involved with. We want you to influence decisions that are a true catalyst for success.

These decisions are big, and can make a huge impact on the bottom line. You could soon be working on the purchase of new aircraft, agreeing investments in the latest on-board products, or coming up with innovative ideas to generate revenue.

We have influential finance teams sitting in every department. You’ll make the most of your three placements, spending one year absorbing everything you can from a different team. Your network will grow quickly.

Development & Progression

The programme will enable you to hone your commercial acumen and strengthen your relationship-building abilities. Your line managers will take a keen interest in your development, and you'll cultivate a network of mentors. We’ll also give you the time and sponsorship to gain your preferred finance qualification – CIMA, ACCA & ACA (ICEAW) – so you can follow in the footsteps of some our most successful graduates, whether it's into Finance Business Partnering, Fleet Planning, Strategy or Financial Reporting.

About you

  • A minimum of a 2:2 degree, or equivalent, in any subject (actual or expected).
  • The drive to succeed, with the ability to think both creatively and strategically.
  • High level of analytical skills and financial astuteness.
  • The right to live and work full-time in the UK indefinitely without sponsorship from British Airways.

The team: On this programme, you could be based on many teams within the British Airways business.

Company

BA flies 37 million customers and 788,000 tonnes of cargo to 177 destinations across the globe every year. Our reputation for customer service and quality is a credit to the 40,000 colleagues across 75 countries. Together, they are responsible for an annual revenue of over £10 billion.

If the past decade has brought both challenge and opportunity, it’s the future which genuinely excites. BA is on a journey, a journey its people live, feel and shape each day. And the journey they’re on is to be experienced – because few organisations inspire such belonging, purpose and genuine belief.

BA is a business with breadth and complexity and at its heart are the people. Join us and become a key part of this journey that’s about a greater purpose; the promise BA makes to each of their customers every day: To Fly. To Serve.

We want people with ambition, inspiration, innovation and the drive to go above and beyond. In return you can expect to work across different business areas and to be involved in key business decisions. In fact, with attractive benefits, you all have the opportunity to see the world at very affordable prices.
