Hays are working with an Manufacturing business in Telford who have a permanent job vacancy within their Finance Department for a Qualified/QBE Accountant.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial statements and be expected to support the business by preparing relevant information for analysis and to support decision making. Key elements of the role will include monthly management accounts, KPIs, financial packs - monthly/annual etc as well as being responsible for budget and forecast preparation for sales, material, labour & overheads. You will review and explain cost variances including material usage and productivity as well as being responsible for internal costing, overheads and inventory. You will analyse product profitability as well as reporting of tooling cost and revenue, capital expenditure, bill of materials and routings. You will also assist with statutory accounts preparation, and internal/external audit, evaluate continuous improvement projects and work with the wider finance team.

What you'll need to succeed
We are ideally looking for a Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA but will also consider applicants Part-Qualified with relevant experience. You will have previous experience working within the manufacturing sector as well as excellent system skills including Excel and ideally SAP/Hyperion. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will have the ability to influence stakeholders, work on own initiative and be well organised.
