On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent accounts payable clerk to join their expanding finance team.

Client Details

My client is based within walking distance of the station and have incredibly modern offices for their finance team. They are a market leader within their chosen industry and have plans to grow over the next 2-3 years.

Description

The successful applicant for this Accounts Payable role will be responsible for the following key duties:

• Accurately log invoices to the correct company and supplier then distribute invoices within two days of receipt to the correct initiator.
• Every morning promptly action items returned to purchase ledger, minimising the delay in payment to the supplier.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers by communicating regularly, including distributing remittance advices immediately following payment processing.
• Arrange payment of approved invoices on a timely basis in accordance with the agreed supplier payment terms ensuring the payments are approved in compliance with internal authorisation procedures.
• Post bank receipts and payments daily using the system, preparing full bank reconciliations in accordance with monthly deadlines.

Profile

To be considered for this Accounts Payable role you must posses the following:

• Be studying towards the middle stage of AAT or equivalent
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Great attention to detail & strong grasp of some of the above duties
• Excellent communication skills
