An up and coming retailer based in the city centre are seeking an Accounts Assistant paying £11 - £13

Your new company
Based in the City Centre, your new company is an up and coming retailer who has experienced impressive growth year on year. They are looking for a new Accounts Assistant to help deal with the ever increasing workload. The contract is initially for 6 months and you are most likely to be offered a permanent role if you are the correct fit. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to progress their career and take on more responsibility in an exciting fast paced office.


Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant you will have key responsibilities within the accounts team. You will carry out bank reconciliations and posting the general journal. You will be responsible for producing the monthly cash flow statements as well as preparing VAT returns and dealing with petty cash. Along with this you will deal with all processing of invoices onto the Sage 500 system, which is vital for production of the month end and year end accounts. You will be reporting to the qualified management accountant, who will provide guidance and give exposure to different aspects of the finance function.


What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have good attention to detail and be able to effectively communicate within the finance team. Ideally you will have worked previously dealing with the purchase ledger and with producing cash flow statements with exposure to managing journals. The ideal candidate will have also worked with SAGE 500 and have a working knowledge of Excel, including the use of pivot tables. You will also be working towards your professional qualification.


What you'll get in return
You will receive a very appealing £11.00 - £13.00 per hour, along with early finishes on a Friday. You will receive flexible working hours and staff discounts on all products.
