The purpose of this role as Assistant Accountant will be to support the Finance Director with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, reconciliations, profit & cash flow forecasts and adhoc analysis.

Description

As Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring the finance function delivers what is required by the wider business. You will be responsible for preparing and posting month end journals, reconciliation of the bank accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of month end accounts, VAT returns, assisting with purchase ledger and sales ledger and any adhoc reporting and analysis.

Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will ideally be looking to continue or start their ACCA/CIMA studies and have worked within a medium sized finance function previously with responsibility for some of the range of outlined responsibilities here. The ideal candidate will have excellent excel skills and be confident dealing with internal and external key stakeholders with both financial and non-financial information.
