Your new company
Your new company is a well established manufacturing business in Blackburn, who specialise the in design and development of specialist devices across the UK. Due to continued expansion, they have a created a new position in the business and require an experienced, CIMA qualified Cost Accountant to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

Your new role
In your new role as Cost Accountant, you will report directly to the MD, whereby you will be responsible for the implementation of financial systems based at the Blackburn site. Your role will involve you being part of the full budget process, where you will liaise with all departments across different sites. You will extract all financial information, manipulating this data and making any adjustments following reviewing this information to present to the MD. You will create and manage an effective cost centre management system, costing processing and gross margins. This is a full time role, working hours between 7:45am - 4:15pm with a 1:15pm finish on a Friday afternoon.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you will be a CIMA qualified accountant and have excellent IT skills, demonstrating understanding of SQL report writing skills. You will be competent in ERP systems and be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of costing processes, reduction of financial waste, increasing profits, cost centre management and budget preparation.

What you'll get in return
In return for this, you will be offered a competitive salary between £35,000 - £40,000 which is dependent on the level of your experience.
