OPR is delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Finance Business Partner (initial 3-month fixed term contract) on behalf of an established and successful business based in Hockley. The ideal candidate will be ACCA/CIMA qualified. The successful candidate will be required to operate at a strategic level with the ability to build strong relationships and provide advice, information, analysis and interpretation to budget holders to underpin effective decision making, performance managements and meet statutory requirements. Duties will include: Lead the management of financial resources for the relevant business unit, to ensure probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money, making sure in all activities, the customer makes decisions in the knowledge of the impact those decisions will have financially on the business. Co-ordinate the development of financial plans for internal and external customers including supply chain partners, ensuring they reflect the company's strategic objectives. This will involve the production of annual budgets, quarterly forecast updates and a statement of investment proposals. On-the-ground monitoring of performance against those budgets will help senior managers analyse key variances on a timely basis, proposing remedial action as required. To provide forward looking insight and challenge, adding demonstrable value through delivering business and commercial insights - acting as a catalyst for business' change management to help drive business performance. Supporting the timely preparation of robust business cases from a financial perspective, identifying and quantifying associated costs, benefits, risk and funding solutions and performing investment appraisal. Support the business in assuming greater degrees of financial accountability by providing local coaching and training to improve financial confidence and competence across the divisional management teams. Develop and propose solutions and options to resolve / progress concerns to a satisfactory outcome, investigating opportunities as well as high risk issues, problem areas with the business. Support business development in the bidding process where there is a need for local knowledge and in pursuance of the localism agenda, to provide useful insight to local capacity, capability and culture from a financial perspective.
