The Financial Controller has day to day responsibility for the functioning of the Finance Team, reporting to the Finance Director and managing (directly or indirectly) everyone else within the team. Key to ensuring finance processes and policies are appropriate and adhered to and a high quality of service and business insight is offered to the rest of Frontier. Main Role Objectives Financial control and compliance Internal Management: senior role to play Commercial understanding and providing business insight Reviewing and reporting all key financial information Finance systems: management and development People Management: day to day running of the finance team Ownership of accounting policies including authorship of policies manual and implementation of new accounting standards Contributor to overall risk processes including identifying areas of weakness and improving controls appropriately Setting the standards of internal financial control, including establishment of robust controls plus an internal self-assessment process to ensure we're complying with agreed pre-determined minimum standards Monthly balance sheet reviews and spot checks across the business driving improvements in controls and general balance sheet hygiene Overall responsibility for ensuring all timesheet data is as accurate and update to date as reasonably possible, plus developing and communicating timesheet policies with the People Team Compliance with internal and external requirements for annual share and share option issue exercise, including revaluation with HMRC and reporting requirements for new joiners and leavers, plus other key benefits/insurances Overall management of tax including international compliance (tax returns), transfer pricing (including regular updating of transfer pricing assessment and documents, plus drafting new documents for new offices), VAT compliance
