Profile Criteria: Fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with statutory accounting experience An individual with a good understanding of financial statement concepts and principles and end-to-end financial statement preparation Experience preparing accounts for a multi-entity businesss Confident user of Excel with Oracle or Hyperion experience being a bonus (but not essential) Excellent technical accounting skills and thorough understanding of IFRS, FRS 101 or UK GAAP Good communication and influencing skills with stakeholder management experience Specifically, the individual will: Preparation of the annual statutory Group submissions for year end reporting Assist the Statutory Reporting Manager with the planning and co-ordination of the annual statutory accounts process of circa 70 entities to ensure it runs smoothly by interacting with Group finance and the external auditors, and making sure we are all working towards the same objective Preparation of the annual statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors conducting the year end Assist with the review of the annual statutory accounts before they are passed to the external auditors Preparation of the annual investment impairment reviews Ensure accurate financial statement presentation and with an understanding of new disclosures, etc to pass on to the Statutory Accountants Assist with the review of month end balance sheet reconciliations Assist with the review of monthly, quarterly and annual ONS returns Qualifications and Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Experience in preparing financial statements Strong understanding of financial statement concepts and principles Excellent technical accounting skills and thorough understanding of IFRS / FRS 101 / UK GAAP Experience of Oracle Financials, Hyperion (HFM and Essbase) and IBM CDM would be useful (but is not essential) Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
