Reed Accountancy are currently recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant to join the existing team of a top 60 accountancy firm, which due to expansion will be top 40 by the end of the year. This is an excellent time to join, as the client base will be developing as well. The job is based in Colchester and will offer scope for professional development and study support for a professional accountancy qualification. Duties:
• accounts production for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• preparation of tax computations
• all aspects of bookkeeping
• dealing with management accounts and VAT returns
• dealing with client queries as and when they arise
• on site work at clients
• management of own work and assignments to deadlines and within budget
• delivering excellent client service Knowledge & Experience:
• AAT, ACA or ACCA part qualified
• minimum 2 years working in practice
• experience in Sage, Xero, CCH accounts production preferable
• excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate excel skills as a minimum
• highly personable with excellent communication skills
• positive 'can do' attitude
