We are working with a fantastic organisation in Birmingham who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their head office in Birmingham. This will be an excellent opportunity to join a market leading organisation and forge a fantastic career in finance. Key responsibilities are: Undertake process for starting and verifying new subcontractors Processing subcontractor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail Making weekly subcontractor payments Dealing with invoice queries - Internal and external liaison Ensure correct authorisation of invoices in accordance with procedure Statement reconciliation Managing subcontractor performance review Understanding & application of VAT Understanding & Application of the Construction Industry Scheme Admin duties Person Requirements Essential Previous Office and Administration experience A high level of accuracy and attention to detail; meticulous and methodical worker Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and computer literate Effective oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality Hours 8.30- 4.30 - Monday-Friday Excellent benefits package Salary £18-24k Search is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
