Bookkeeper required for a professional accounting and tax advisory practice in Basingstoke. Providing services to SME's the Bookkeeper will be experienced in all areas of bookkeeping, and will be responsible for contacting clients by telephone and meeting them in person. The bookkeeper will be working directly with the Accounts Manager, and will be providing vital support, maintaining financial records for a number of different business. The successful Bookkeeper will be desirable AAT qualified and will have experience in a similar role. Bookkeeper Position Overview Calculation of payroll Bookkeeping tasks for various clients assigned Accounts and Tax preparation Preparation of VAT returns Bank Reconciliations of client accounts Balance sheet reconciliations Extensive use of Microsoft Excel worksheets Regular contact with clients by telephone and in person Adhoc admin duties as and when required Bookkeeper Position Requirements AAT qualification is desirable but not essential Candidates with around 1-2 years' experience within Practice is essential Self-motivation and dedication to the role Experience in a prior role is essential Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure Bookkeeper Position Remuneration £17,000 to £21,500 per annum, dependant on experience Good holiday package Pension scheme Friendly and supportive office environment Bennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
