Accounts Payable Assistant Location - Motherwell, ML1 1RU Hours - Monday - Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 Are you dedicated to delivering great service and want to join a growing company that looks after its people? In this role, you will work as part of the accounts payable team to offer a professional service to internal and external clients in order to ensure the process and payment of invoices is timely and efficient. You will be a proactive individual who thrives in a team environment and who is both flexible and hardworking in their approach to work with good customer service skills. As Accounts Payable Assistant, you will:
• Process invoices through to payment within our SLA requirements.
• Pro-actively manage and resolve queries, via email and phone, from internal and external contacts.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and other control processes on a monthly basis.
• Process expenses to a tight deadline in order to maintain the systems in place.
• Manage payment runs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Work closely with the commercial team to ensure a smooth and seamless service.
• Develop close working relationships with internal customers to fully understand the business as well as establish a credible and effective network of contacts.
• Work with internal and external suppliers to actively support and initiate team work to achieve an excellent service track record.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in process and system improvements by both suggesting and working to deliver improved efficiency. Our Ideal candidate will need to have:
• Experience of working within accounts payable / purchase ledger department.
• Knowledge and ability to use mainstream accounting systems.
• Experience of working in a busy office environment.
• Ability to use computers to intermediate level for word, excel, Powerpoint and outlook.
• Finance, Accounting or Business Administration Qualification or equivalent would be desirable We'll provide you with full training once you start and make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job. You will already have experience of working in a commercial environment and the ability to deal with people at all levels. You will work the 37.5 hours per week with access to Apleona employee benefits that will be available to you as soon as you start.
