Job Details
Due to rapid growth an exciting opporunity has arisen for an end to end credit controller to join a busy but rewarding finance team where you will play a pivotal part in reducing the overdue invoices and helping the team to achieve collection targets.

My client is a well established market leader based in Wigan. They are looking for a candidate with good analytical and problem solving skills and with an ability to identify process improvement opportunities. A candidate who can build strong relationships with their employees and clients to ensure the best possible service is provided.
Description
The role responsibilities will include:
- Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email or letter within agreed timescales
- Communicate in a professional manner with various stakeholders
- Monitor the delivery of invoices and discuss any trends with the Credit Manager
- Check account status and send monthly statements
- Ensure an effective communication with the Credit Manager to raise any potential opportunities or problem debts; report on the effect this has on the cash collection targets
- Attend internal meetings to discuss debt with the legal teams, as required
- Prepare ad hoc reports and reconciliations as required
- Assist Finance to resolve client balances
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Have an ability to actively engage in the business, through strong verbal communication skills and a pro-active approach
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team, while planning and prioritising tasks effectively
- Have excellent attention to detail
The successful candidate should:
- At least 2 years of practical experience in Credit Control
- Have relevant experience within a professional services environment. (Desirable)
- Have Strong IT skills including good working knowledge of excel
