Finance Business Partner Based: Gloucestershire

Salary:

Our client operates as a leader within the events management market, delivering valuable, innovative and high-quality services to the UK's largest and most prestigious sporting events and festivals. The industry is extremely fast paced and is evolving quickly, providing ongoing opportunity for their further development as a brand leader in their field. In support of their plan for further growth, they now seek to appoint a dynamic, commercially savvy and capable Finance Business Partner. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of adding value, driving effective decision making within operations, through the use of data and ambition to develop their career further in this exciting and valuable field. As Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in the way in which your section of the business interacts with the customer, both now and in the future, supporting the shaping to the strategy and fuelling ever more commercially advantageous decision making. Duties will be broad but will include -
• Undertake detailed analysis of events post-event against forecasts, identifying areas of under performance and/or inaccurate forecasting, and making recommendations for improvement where appropriate;
• Interpret and present financial data at all levels with appropriate clear and concise analysis;
• Analyse and deliver insight that links financial reports to business objectives;
• Engage the operational teams, educating them in the budget process, gaining their input, understanding and adherence to the budget during event delivery;
• Manage the Revenue Protection Manager to ensure safeguarding of processes and develop client reporting, ensuring integrity of data;
• Support those within the Concessions division who have limited financial knowledge to develop a greater financial understanding;
• Supporting on the pulling together of Tender documentation to secure new business. Providing advice and recommendation on key contract negotiations and evaluating terms within;
• Challenge the Director of Events, to ensure business decisions remain commercial and effective;
• Lead the financial element of commercial negotiations. Mitigating risk, modelling and reporting on outcomes internally and externally;
• Provide effective commercial procedures, or initiate change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered; This is a business with momentum.
