Our client, a well-established and successful Accountancy and Business Advisory Practice, is looking for an Audit and Accounts Manager to join their Croydon based team. With a UK wide client-base ranging from £100k to £50mil turnover, covering a variety of industry sectors, the organisation prides itself on adding value to owner managed Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified and this varied role involves a mix of accounts, audit and company tax. You will take responsibility for maintaining client relations, overseeing and reviewing the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and client audits. (Limited Companies, LLP's, Partnerships and Sole Traders). Also reviewing and billing the team's jobs, ensuring response time KPI's are adhered to, monitoring and managing debtors and updating weekly job sheets. Person Specification: You must be a self-starter with the ability and confidence to run audit assignments from planning to completion. Ability to direct and organise junior staff on audit assignments. Responsible for training staff. Strong technical ability and willingness to provide potential solutions to technical issues. You must be able to prepare Corporation Tax computations, including groups. Experience of other areas of taxation would also be beneficial. You should be able to consolidate Group accounts, including cashflow statements. Experience of due diligence work would be beneficial. You will also be expected to deal with accounts preparation assignments, often at short notice and under time pressure. Time management skills are essential in order to bring in assignments on time and in budget. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable dealing with partners, colleagues and clients alike. Computer literacy is an important prerequisite for the role, skills with Word & Excel are essential.
