My client is currently looking to hire a Finance Assistant to join their team with the purpose of maintaining and managing the companies Sales Ledger and Credit Control processes. Based on the outskirts of York, the role offers a 40-hour working week (08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday) and onsite parking space. A driving license will be required due to the location and nature of the role. Responsibilities include: Issuing invoices for sales Reconciling invoices with outstanding debt and reconciling cash records from the retail section of the business Investigating account discrepancies Recording and maintaining an inhouse reference system for invoices Managing the company system for direct debits, receiving customer payments through cash, cheque and card transactions Other duties as can reasonably be expected within the role The ideal candidate: Excellent communication skills and attention to detail At least 1 year's previous experience in a similar role Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) If you're interested in the role, apply now
