T2M Resourcing are working on behalf of a global market leading manufacturing business who have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant. As Accounts Assistant you will be part of a supportive team environment working with both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, as well as contributing to cross department initiatives and collaboration to support a "best in class" function. As Accounts Assistant key responsibilities will include the following: Accounts Receivable Timely and accurate processing of cash receipts and matching to AR invoices, including the processing of credit notes and manual invoices as required. Supporting a well-controlled bank reconciliation with no outstanding balances Processing customer statements Maintenance of customer accounts (accounts on hold) including account reconciliations Weekly reporting Cash collection through active customer management (via customer services, agents or direct) Setting of credit terms using information available Accounts Payable Accurate and timely processing of invoices, including entry and matching to purchase order receipts. Resolve all invoice queries and supplier statement discrepancies on a timely basis Support the resolution of outstanding bank reconciliation balances Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency within the business Undertake an annual review of processes and controls ensuring best practice is applied To be successful as Accounts Assistant you will have the following skills and attributes: A minimum of 2 years' experience working with Accounts Payable/Receivable function A team player, with good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a deadline driven environment. Adept at building a rapport with both internal and external clients. Must have intermediate Excel skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Studying towards AAT would be advantageous Experience of working in a Shared Services environment (advantageous not essential) So, what's in it for you?
