Our client is a reputable and flourishing company based in Banbury. They are currently looking for a talented and highly analytical Assistant Buyer & Stock Analyst to join their growing procurement team. responsibilities:
Forecasting sales for product ranges to enable accurate purchasing decisions. Analysing stock levels and sales to ensure stock availability levels are sensible whilst being conscious not to overstock. Maintaining regular stock level reviews and the need to purchase. Planning requirements and purchasing stock in advance of key dates e.g new season product launches. Administrative duties within the purchasing department when necessary to include but not exclusive to checking pro forma invoices and checking / creating packing lists. Placing purchase orders with suppliers and maintaining them on the company's ERP system. Working closely with suppliers to ensure they are aware of / adhering to the company's expectations. Working closely with other departments to ensure relevant information is obtained and shared. Continuously seeking to improve efficiency of processes and accuracy of information Key Skills & Experience: Experience within an analytical Buyer role or experience as a Stock Analyst / Inventory Controller (office based). Ability to prioritise own workload efficiently and experience working in a time-sensitive environment. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas etc. Ability to work proactively, while correctly determining when to escalate issues. Highly numerate and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. Positive approach to tasks and duties, even when under pressure. Additional Information: The working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
