To learn more about how we protect and/or process personal information, please visit the WFS Privacy Center at: Senior Credit Manager, Marine London Senior Credit Manager, Marine required by a globally renowned energy provider and recognised market leader in the supply of marine fuel Senior Credit Manager required by a leading Fortune 100 brand to lead a team of analysts, assuming underwriting and exposure control for the Marine business segment in EMEA and the Americas, as well as support to any other business functions as required. This will be accomplished by adhering to and following defined credit and collection policies and procedures, under the supervision of the Vice President Credit & Risk, while working collaboratively with sales, operations, marketing, credit and risk colleagues and other key stakeholders. The key objective of the Senior Credit Manager will be to facilitate business objectives while prudently managing risk. Key duties and responsibilities include: Manage team of analysts based in London charged with overseeing the EMEA and Americas Marine AR portfolios Work with VP of Marine Credit and leadership peer in Asia to manage Marine Portfolio credit reviews whether new or periodic and ensure all limits granted are within credit policy guidelines Work with collections to manage past due invoices and escalate concerning overdues to the attention of senior management. Constantly work with marine credit leadership to ensure that improvements are made to processes and procedures Work with colleagues in credit and legal to manage Bad Debt portfolio (defined as accounts in legal status) and apply for adjustments in BDR accordingly. Stay abreast of marine and commodity market fundamentals and ensure team of analysts is developed in this regard. Track wider finance team targets and ensure day to day efforts on credit fall in to line with these. The Individual The successful candidate is likely to have in excess of five years' experience in marine credit analysis, with a minimum of two years' experience gained as a credit manager or senior credit analyst assigned to a marine industry portfolio. Experience of coaching and mentoring a team of credit analysts is essential. Excellent analytical capabilities and strong keen attention to detail are essential. Strong IT/software skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are essential. Strong business awareness and detailed understanding and experience of financial account analysis methods and processes are essential. Customer service orientation is essential.
