The successful candidate will gain broad experience in accountancy and tax workand develop an insight into business from our diverse range of clients. They will quickly have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as their technical knowledge and confidence increases. Specific tasks will include:
• Producing accounts for businesses from basic records Preparation of personal and company tax returns Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns Assisting with audits and other compliance work General administrative work as required to support the practice Full study support to attain the AAT qualification will be provided -including day release Requirements and prospects Desired skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and attention to detail Experience of IT packages such as Excel, Word and Outlook would be an advantage Personal qualities We are looking for somebody with enthusiasm and intelligence to join our team, who has the commitment to combine study with work in the office. Desired qualifications Good GCSEs (At least 5 at B or higher, including English and maths or equivalent) and strong 'A' levels or equivalent (actual or predicted). Future prospects On completion of the AAT qualifications suitable successful candidates will have the opportunity to continue to study to become a Chartered Accountant.
